Understand what an SMS status means

An accepted SMS request is not the same as a delivered message.

The useful starting point

An accepted SMS request is not the same as a delivered message.

Start with the right information

Configure the SMS account, sender and allowed destination format with the operator. Use a short message containing only the information the customer needs.

Put it into practice

Review the recorded provider identifier after submission. Queued or accepted means the provider received the request; delivery requires its later status evidence.

Check before you share

Check the provider dashboard before retrying an uncertain request. Repeated submissions can create duplicate messages and separate charges.
